Active seniors at our independent living retirement community are always torn about what their favorite season is. Often, it’s a toss-up between summer and fall. A lot of them miss the bright, sunny days of summer. However, there is so much to love about the fall season in Ontario.
The cool fall weather is a refreshing change from the heat of summer. Then there’s pumpkin-flavored treats, pumpkin carving, and more. However, one of the best things about the fall season is the beautiful colors it brings.
Golden Foliage at Our Senior Residence
Fall is when the trees trade their green leaves for wonderful red, orange, and yellow colors. The amazing array of colors is a welcomed sight. Residents love stepping out and taking a peek at the fall foliage around our residences.
Among the retirement communities “near me,” Livita’s 5 locations are surrounded by a lot of landscapes and green spaces. Our active seniors are incredibly lucky to experience the beautiful colors of fall.
There are so many places to catch the gorgeous fall foliage. To make the most out of this season, here are different ways you can enjoy the fall colors:
- Take a walk. Ontario is the best place to see fall colors. There are plenty of parks around, a lot of them being just a few minutes away from our residence. For example, Riverside Trail Park has bursts of beautiful colors. It is also just a 5-minute drive from our Livita Bridge Street residence. If you want to keep it simple, just a quick stroll around the neighborhood will do. Our locations have a lot of green spaces and trees around. As such, even a quick walk around the residence will have you appreciating the fall foliage.
- Take pictures. While you’re out for a walk or on a hike, take quick snaps at the beautiful surroundings. Gather a few photos using your phone and share them with your friends and family.
- Drive around town. At our independent living retirement communities, we sometimes have joyrides around the city. It is a great way to catch a glimpse of the lovely fall colors without the need to step out.
- Look out the window! Don’t want to venture outside? No worries. Enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage by looking out. Take a seat by the window with a warm drink and appreciate the fall foliage around our senior residence.
